• Starcrusher supports AU, VST, and VST3 formats, making it compatible with most major digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Logic, Ableton, FL Studio, Reaper, Cubase, Sonar, Studio One, and Luna. However, it doesn’t support the AAX format. If you want to use Starcrusher with Pro Tools, you’ll need to install the Blue Cat Audio Patcher first.

  • If you encounter the error message “Missing Instrument File,” follow these steps:

    1. Open your Documents folder on your computer (Mac or PC).

    2. Locate the folder named “starcrusher.mse.”

    3. In your DAW, select the folder itself (not the file inside it).

For Windows users: When searching for the folder in your DAW’s search bar, you may notice there are no files visible inside the folder. This is completely normal, and the plugin will still work as expected.

  • After purchasing the plugin, you will receive an email immediately with your unique license code to activate the instrument.

Please note: Each license code allows activation on one computer only. If the code is shared or used on another device, it will deactivate on the original device.

If you don’t receive the email or if your code doesn’t work, please contact us at contact@greylandaudio.com for assistance.

  • If you cannot hear the plugin or it doesn’t seem to be working, try these solutions:

    1. Check the octave range: The instrument only uses the lower octave keys. Make sure to shift down octaves on your keyboard to access the playable range.

    2. Restart after activation: If you’ve entered the license code, restart the plugin to complete the activation process.
